This piece was inspired by the dualities of fire and water, life and death, stillness and movement. Rachel has always been fascinated by the inherent conflict and harmony that comes with the very human realization that all that lives must die. Though an individual life may be fleeting, life itself is an indomitable force of nature in it's own right, constantly creating itself from the raw materials of the world, surviving no matter the cost. As Rachel plumbs the supernatural substrate of the natural world, this stag spirit shines and drips and comes for you in your dreams ( jk... probably).
