The Inevitable

This is the first piece I carved after we chose the White Moth Lodge name and began working in earnest towards making our art dreams come true. I felt like I was carving my intentions, hopes, and desires for our future success into the wood. I included a few symbols from the language of flowers to serve as a collective wish sent into the universe. The fern symbolizes magic and secrecy, paired with cattails which mean peace and prosperity, and protea, the flower for transformation. All together I wanted to explore my fervent hope for a fulfilling and abundant future.
